        Why the NBA needs to be fixed? 

           

Right now there are only 2 teams that can win the NBA Title in the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. There is no point in watching the NBA Playoffs when we know the finals match-up already. This is a problem for the NBA. Back in the 1990s you had 8 teams that could win a title in the Bulls, Magic, Knicks, Pacers, SuperSonics, Lakers, Jazz, Rockets and Suns. Even in the 2000s you had 5 teams that could win the title in the Lakers, Spurs, Pistons, Mavericks and Heat. 2 Super teams in the NBA create a problem because you got no shot to win now unless you have 4 star players. If you're rebuild you got no shot either because you can't make trades unless you match salaries. The Celtics or Magic could had made a trade for Jimmy Butler in the off-season and that would had made them competitive, but they had to match salaries to make the trade work and give the Bulls players they didn't want. It would be much easier to trade draft picks for players instead of matching salaries. Here are the 3 ways to fix the NBA. 

1. Get rid of matching player salaries to make a trade. What this would do is make it easier for teams to make a trade for a star player? It would also help rebuilding teams who want to start winning. Right now if you rebuild you are irrelevant for 7 to 8 years like the 76ers, Lakers, Magic, Suns and T-Wolves are. It would also make it easier for teams to want to rebuild that need to like the Bulls, Pacers, Heat and Mavericks. 

2. Limit how many star players a team can have. The limit should be that you can only have 2 star players per team like it was in the 1990s and 2000s. That way every team can at least have a shot to go after a star player that can give them a shot at a title. 

3. Eliminate the corner 3. Teams that can shoot the corner 3 like the Cavaliers, Warriors and Rockets have an advantage over teams like the Spurs, Clippers, Wizards, Celtics, Raptors, Grizzlies, Thunder and Jazz. Right now if you can't shoot the corner 3 you got no shot to win. 
Fans will turn away from the NBA soon if Adam Silver doesn't do something to make the league more competitive and give more teams a chance.
