NBA 2018 Draft: Winners and Losers

Here are My NBA 2018 draft winners and losers.

              Winners

              1.  Hawks: They got 2 building blocks in their rebuild in Trae Young and Kevin  Huerter. Trae Young will be their franchise point guard and Kevin Huerter will be their star shooting guard. The Hawks also got a big that can shoot 3's in Omari Spellman. Dennis Schrober is now expendable with Trae Young on board.

               2.  Pacers: They got a steal with the 23rd pick in Aaron Holiday. Aaron Holiday was a Top-15 pick and he fell to the No.23 pick. The Pacers got Victor Oladpio and Domantas Sabonis on the team already. They add to it with Aaron Holiday. The Pacers are a good young team in the East.

               3.  Bulls: They got 2 building blocks in their rebuild in Wendell Carter Jr and Chandler Hutchison in the 1st-Round. Wendell Carter Jr and Chandler Hutchinson are safe picks that will start for them this year.

                4.  Suns: This team had to knock the draft out of the park and they did that. The Suns draft the best player in the draft in DeAndre Ayton with the No.1 overall pick and then traded for Mikal Bridges from the 76ers. They now have Devin Booker, Brandon Knight, Mikal Bridges and DeAndre Ayton. That is a good young core to build around.

                5.  Nuggets: They got the steal of the draft in Michael Porter Jr. Michael Porter Jr was projected to go No.1 overall at this time last year. The Nuggets can afford to take a chance because they got a good team.

              Losers

              1.  Hornets: This team doesn't know what they are doing when they are drafting. They drafted Miles Bridges when they needed to draft a replacement for Dwight Howard in Robert Williams. Kemba Walker is free agent after this season and the Hornets did nothing to have a replacement plan.

              2.  Clippers: I didn't get what this team did. They reached for Jerome Robinson with the No.13 pick when they could have gotten him in the 2nd-Round. The Clippers traded for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with the No.12 pick. They already have point guards on this team.

             3.  Knicks: They had an chance to draft Mikal Bridges with the No.9 pick and they took Kevin Knox instead. I understand why the Knicks fans booed the pick. It's nothing against Kevin Knox, but Mikal Bridges was there and the Knicks passed on him.

             4.  Collin Sexton: He will be asked to carry the Cavaliers with LeBron James leaving this summer. I feel bad for him because he need to go to a team that is finishing it's rebuilding like the Magic, Knicks and Suns. Collin Sexton will have an old roster around him minus Kevin Love because I believe he'll be moved too.

             5.  Heat: This team had no picks in this year's draft. They need young talent, but traded their 1st-Round Pick in the last 6 years. Dwayne Wade is past his prime and they will have just 2 draft picks in the next 3 years.

             Incomplete

             1.  Magic: I wanted them to take a guard with the No.6 pick, but they took Mo Bama. I'm thinking they will trade for a point guard in either Dennis Schrober or Patrick Beverley in the off-season. I like their 2 2nd-Round Picks in Melvin Frazier and Justin Jackson. Those 2 guys can shoot the ball and Justin Jackson was projected to be a lottery pick and he fell to the No.43 pick in the 2nd-Round.

            2.  Spurs: This team usually does good in the draft, but with the Kawhi Leonard situation I have to give put them in the Incomplete category. They draft Lonnie Walker IV with their 1st-Round Pick. It's a risky pick, but the Spurs develop their players. If Kawhi Leonard gets traded then Lonnie Walker IV will have to play right away and he won't be ready.
