AEW Fight for the Fallen 2019 Scorecard: Rhodes Brothers and Young Bucks deliver in the Main Event

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2019 Scorecard: Rhodes Brothers and Young Bucks deliver in the Main Event

              1-Terrible

              2-Below Average

              3-Average

              4-Good

              5-Instant Classic

              Main Show

MJF, Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears defeated Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc and Joel Janela [Six-Man Tag Team Match]

Thoughts: This was a good tag team match to start off the show. MJF and Darby Allin are stars in the making. I came in as this match was in progress so I'm not gonna talk about it a lot, but it was a good match for the remaining of it that I saw of it. Shawn Spears looked good in this match too.

                Match Score: 4

                Brandi Rhodes defeated Allie

Thoughts: This was a boring Women's Match between Brandi Rhodes and Allie. AEW does need to step up it's Women's Division because it is lacking right now. Brandi Rhodes surprised everybody and actually looked good in this match. Allie was average in this match too.

                 Match Score: 2

The Dark Order defeated Angelico, Jack Evans and Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus [Triple Threat Tag Team Match]

Thoughts: This was a decent Triple Threat Tag Team match. It did have meaning behind it as one of the teams would get a bye in the Tag Team Championship tournament, but that about it. The Dark Order won this match as you would expect them to do.

                   Match Score: 3

                   Adam Page defeated Kip Saban

Thoughts: This was a great match between these two. These two stole the show tonight. Adam Page showed heart in this match as he overcame his leg injury. Kip Saban was great in this match and he has a future in AEW. Adam Page looked strong at the end of this match and he should going into his match against Chris Jericho at All Out on the final day on August. I loved the post-match attack by Chris Jericho on Adam Page. It keeps that storyline leading in to the AEW Championship match going.

                     Match Score: 5

                     Lucha Brothers defeated SoCal Uncensored

Thoughts: This tag team matches was one of the matches that stole the show tonight. Lucha Brothers are a great tag team along with SoCal Uncensored. I can't wait to see the Luch Brothers and SoCal Uncensored wrestler in October when AEW goes on Weekly Television. I love the Lucha Brothers as they are fun to watch. They challenged the Young Bucks to a Ladder Match at All Out in Chicago. I can't wait to see that match at All Out at the end of August.

                     Match Score: 5

                     Kenny Omega defeated Cima

Thoughts: This was one of the matches of the night. Kenny Omega and Cima were awesome tonight. Kenny Omega looked strong going into his match against Jon Moxley at All Out next month. Cima has showed he belongs in AEW as he puts on great matches every PPV. Kenny Omega survived the double-knees on the table on the outside and won with his finisher called the One-Wing Angel. Both went back and forth in this match as this match was physical throughout this match. Both guys wanted to win the match, but only one could win.

                       Match Score: 5

                       Chris Jericho Promo

Thoughts: It was a good promo by Chris Jericho even thought it wasn't one his best. He was promoting his match with Adam Page. I liked the end of the promo when Adam Page tried to get revenge on Chris Jericho as the locker room broke them up. The promo could had been better, but I give Chris Jericho a pass because he is great.

                        Segment Score: 4

                        Main Event

The Young Bucks defeated The Rhodes Brothers

Thoughts: This Main Event match delivered as the Young Bucks and The Rhodes Brothers put on a great Tag Team match. Cody and Dustin showed they can be great as a Tag Team as they gave the Young Bucks everything they could handle. The Young Bucks showed they are one of the best Tag Teams in Wrestling. The Young Bucks delivered Cross-Rhodes while the The Rhodes Brothers delivered Super-Kicks. This was a great match to end the show.

                          Match Score: 5

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2019 Score: 4.1

Overview: This was a good PPV for a show that wasn't hyped. I didn't watch Evolve yet, but I will later tonight and do a scorecard on it tomorrow afternoon. AEW knows how to produce a good show. The announcers need to be better as they sound like they were announcing golf instead of Wrestling. They need to step up it's Women's Division because their Women's Division is weak right now. The show overall was good as they got stars in the making in MJF, Darby Allin and Kip Saban. This show was free to watch on B/R Live and it was good. I enjoy watching Fight of the Fallen tonight.
