AEW Double or Nothing 2020 Scorecard: The Elite beat the Inner Circle in a Classic Main Event

Here is My AEW Double or Nothing 2020 Scorecard: The Elite beat the Inner Circle in a Classic Main Event

          0.5-Worst on the Planet

             1-Terrible

             2-Below Average

             3-Average

             4-Good

             5-Instant Classic

             Pre-Show

Best Friends defeated Private Party [No.1 Contender's Match for the AEW Tag Team Championships]

Thoughts: This was a good tag team match to kick-off the show. The Best Friends and Private Party went back and forth in this match. I enjoyed watching this Tag Team match to start the show. I like Tag Team matches that actually means something. The Best Friends got the win with the Stomp Piledriver.

              Match Score: 4

              Main Show

Brian Cage defeated Darby Allin, Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy, Joey Janela, Scorpio Sky, Kip Saban, Frankie Kazarian and Luchasaruus [Casino Ladder Match for a future AEW World Championship]

Thoughts: Brian Cage dominated throughout the Casino Ladder match. He was a surprise in this match. The Ladder match was entertaining, but why did we need 9 Men in this match with Penelope Ford being the one Woman getting involved. I would had preferred a 6-Man Ladder Match. This felt like they were trying to get everyone on the PPV. This Ladder match was still good because most Ladder matches are good.

               Match Score: 4

               MJF defeated Jungle Boy

Thoughts: This was a good match between these two. MJF showed he was a great heel as he tricked Jungle Boy to thinking he was hurt only to attack him. Jungle Boy had his best performance to date tonight. He rose his stock in this match despite losing to MJF. MJF continues to be a great heel while Jungle Boy had a great performance. MJF needs to keep winning and have him win the AEW TNT Championship or AEW World Championship down the line.

               Match Score: 4

Cody defeated Lance Archer [AEW TNT Championship]

Thoughts: This match was good, but I would not had Cody win. Cody didn't need to win, but the match was good between these two. Lance Archer looked like a dominant monster while Cody would overcome to win the match. I don't understand why Jake Roberts was ejected from the ring when he didn't do anything. I still give this a 4 because it's AEW and they will build Lance Archer back up. If this was WWE it would got a 3.

               Match Score: 4

               Kris Statlander defeated Penelope Ford

Thoughts: This was a decent match, but it had to follow the TNT Championship match. Kris Statlander and Penelope Ford put on a good match despite only getting 5 minutes and 30 seconds. Penelope Ford showed she can compete in the ring. I don't get what AEW sees in Kris Statlander as she botches all the time.

               Match Score: 3

               Dustin Rhodes squashed Shawn Spears

Thoughts: This was the worst match of the night. Shawn Spears looked like an idiot by not getting much offense in on Dustin Rhodes. Dustin Rhodes should be winning matches, but not by squashing Shawn Spears because you need to build up Shawn Spears too. Shawn Spears looked like a moron tonight. If we are going to give WWE crap for something like this then we need to do the same with AEW.

               Match Score: 0.5

Hikaru Shida defeated Nyler Rose [C] [AEW Women's Championship-No Disqualification Match]

Thoughts: This was a physical match between these two ladies. Hikaru Shida is the future of the AEW Women's Division, but Nyler Rose should had retained. Nyler Rose just won the Championship back in February at Revolution. Hikaru Shida is one of the better Women's Wrestler on the roster, but they should had waited until All Out to give her the title. It was a cool moment at the end when Hikaru Shida celebrated in dedication to Hana Kimura who tragically took her own life last night. It was horrible news so our thoughts are with her family, but it was a feel good moment at the end of the match.

               Match Score: 4

Jon Moxley [C] defeated Mr. Brodie Lee [AEW World Championship]

Thoughts: This was also a physical match between these two like we knew it would be. Jon Moxley and Mr. Brodie Lee left it out there in this match. I would watch this match because I enjoyed it. Jon Moxley and Mr. Brodie Lee were go through the ramp. Jon Moxley would end the match with a sleeper hold for the win. Jon Moxley retained his Championship while Mr. Brodie Lee still looked strong.

               Match Score: 5

               Main Event

The Elite defeated The Inner Circle [Stadium Stampede Match]

Thoughts: This match was awesome and fun. These 2 factions would battle all over the stadium in Jacksonville. Hangman Adam Page and Jake Hager would battle in a bar while the Matt Hardy would get drown under water only to pop up as Matt Hardy Version 1 and then come back up as Broken Matt Hardy. Chris Jericho would go for the pin on Nick Jackson and then challenge the call. Audrey Edwards would review the play and in would stand which would continue to make Chris Jericho argue. Nick Jackson would takeout Chris Jericho with a splash from the stands and then Hangman Adam Page would draw a line over Chris Jericho. Sammy Guevara would get run down by a horse and then a golf cart. Nick Jackson would suplex Sammy Guevara all over the field. Then, Nick Jackson would celebrate only to get a flag thrown on him and then he would superkick the referee. Kenny Omega would end the match by hitting the One-Wing Angel from the stands to the floor below.

               Match Score: 5

AEW Double or Nothing 2020 Scorecard: 3.7

Overview: This was easily the best PPV since the Pandemic. It was better than both Wrestle Mania 36 and Money in the Bank combined. I enjoyed this PPV and if I saw this on DVD I would buy it and watch it again. I loved the Stadium Stampede Match as it was the most fun match during the Pandemic. All of the Wrestlers tonight had fun tonight which is something we are not seeing in the WWE right now.
