MLB 2020 LCS Preview and Predictions

         

            Here is My MLB 2020 LCS Preview and Predictions   

             American League Championship Series              Best 4 out of 7  

             [6] Houston Astros vs [1] Tampa Bay Rays in San Diego, CA 

 

             TV: All Games on TBS 

             Thoughts: This is the 2nd straight playoff meeting between these two teams. The Astros get back to the ALCS for the 4th straight year as they are 2-1 in the 3 previous years. The Rays get back to the ALCS for the 1st time since 2008. The Astros swept the Twins in the ALWC and beat the Athletics in 4 games in the ALDS. The Rays swept the Blue Jays in the ALWC and won a tough 5-game series against the Yankees. The Astros have had a unlikely run as they were playing terrible entering the playoffs as they were 2-6 down the stretch. The Astros are batting .281 in the playoffs. The Rays good pitching and depth will prevail in this series as there aren't any days off this year in the ALCS. Good pitching shutdowns good hitting and that will happen in this series.

            Prediction: Rays win series 4-2   

            National League Championship Series                  Best 4 out of 7

            [2] Atlanta Braves vs [1] Los Angeles Dodgers in Arlington, TX 

            TV: Games on FOX and FS1 

            Thoughts: This is the 4th ever playoff meeting between these two teams and the 3rd in the last 8 years. This is the match-up everyone expected last year when they were the two best teams in the National League record-wise. Both teams swept their series to get to the NLCS. This is the Braves 1st NLCS appearance since 2001 while the Dodgers make their 7th appearance in 12 years. The Braves have overcome postseason demons in the 1st 2-Rounds. Now they have to overcome another demon in the Dodgers. They are 8-18 in the last 4 years vs the Dodgers and 2-6 in the playoffs. Offense will be hard to come buy. The Braves have the best postseason era with 0.92 while the Dodgers are 3rd with 2.00 era. This is the Dodgers best chance to win the World Series this year. They got 8 players over the age of 30.   

             Prediction: Dodgers win series 4-3  

             Overview: I believe it will be the Rays and Dodgers in the World Series who have been the best 2 teams all year. Then again it's 2020 so you never know we could see Astros vs Braves in the World Series. The Braves have had 4 shutouts in 5 games, but haven't faced an offense as good as the Dodgers and the 4th and 5th starters are a question mark while the Dodgers have a deep starting pitching staff. The Rays overall good pitching will be too much for the Astros just it was for the Yankees.
