Buffalo Bills 2023 Game Reviews Week 6: Bills win an ugly game against the Giants on Sunday Night Football

                    The Bills are not a   Super Bowl contender right now as they need to get their offense figure out. They are not even a Top 10 team in the league right now. The defense is the main reason we won the game as they held the Giants out of the red zone. The offense needs to get off to a fast start against another lousy team in the Patriots next week. 

                        Positives 

                        The defense was good again  

                        The defense played well again despite being short-handed. They held the Giants out of the red zone and have allowed just 14.8 ppg this season. Our defense got tired and last week which the Jaguars scored 14 points in the 2nd half, but other than that the defense has been really good and the only team that held a high-powered Dolphins team to 20 points this year. They also got 3 sacks on Tyrod Taylor and only allowed 3.9 yards per carry against the Giants.  

                       Offense got going in the 2nd half 

                       Josh Allen went 11 out of 12 with 2 touchdowns in the 2nd half. The run game was good the entire game with 128 yards which is averaging 4.4 yards per carry. James Cook had 71 yards on 14 carries, Latavius Murray also had 12 carries with 45 yards. We need to run the ball more to get an identity on offense. Stefon Diggs was awesome again in this game as he had 10 catches for 100 yards.  

                    Negatives 

                   Offense got off to a slow start again 

                   We had zero points through 3 Quarters in this game and last week we had just 7 points through 3 Quarters. In the last 2 games with have scored just 10 points through 3 Quarters. Josh Allen needs to come out faster has he was 8 for 18 in the 1st half. We need to run the ball in the 1st half as we didn't do that enough. We need a faster start in the 1st half next week at the Patriots. 

                   Gabe Davis fumble give Giants life 

                  Gabe Davis fumble early in the 1st Quarter when we were driving for a touchdown to go up 7-0. We go up 7-0 early in the 1st Quarter we blow out the Giants because they are fragile team coming into this game. Gabe Davis needs to be more consistent. He is great one week and then a no show the next week.  

                  

                   Perspective

                   I'm happy we got the win this Sunday Night even though it was a ugly win, but we are not a Super Bowl contender right now and won't be until we get our act together. 2 weeks ago we dropped 48 points on the Dolphins which was a stretch when we scored 30 plus points. The last 2 weeks we gotten off to slow starts in the 1st half. We don't have an identity right now in the 1st half of games. We need to run the ball in 1st half of games to get off to a better start. James Cook is good enough to get more carries. We need to trade for DeVante Adams at the deadline because Gabe Davis is too inconsistent.
