Buffalo Bills Game Reviews Week 4: Bills squash the hated rival Dolphins
The Bills squash the hated rival Dolphins and showing the league they are still kings of the AFC East and one of the best of the NFL. Losing Tre'Davious White to an season-ending ACL injury really hurts and hopefully Kaiir Elam can step up in Tre'Davious White's absence for this season. We're close to getting Von Miller back which will make for our pass rush even more scarier for the NFL.
Positives
Josh Allen still owns the Dolphins.
Josh Allen had another amazing day against the Dolphins. He went 21 for 25 with 320 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also threw no interceptions in this game. He played perfect football in this game. Josh Allen also rushed for a touchdown in this game. He is now 10-2 vs the Dolphins in his career including the playoffs.
The Bills stuck with the run despite not getting big yards
They ran the ball 29 times for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. It only got 3.6 yards per carry, but they stuck with it. That is a good sign because the Bills have been known for getting away from the run when it doesn't get the big yards. James Cook got a rushing touchdowns despite getting just 29 yards rushing this game.
Defensive line dominated
The Bills put on a great performance on defense and a lot of it was due to the defensive line. They sack Tua 4 times in this game when he been sacked just once coming into the game. The Bills also forced 2 turnovers in this game. The run defense was good. They allowed just 2.6 yards per carry outside of De'Von Achane. The Bills defensive line has 16 sacks in 4 games which is tied for 1st in the NFL with the Chargers.
Negatives
Losing Tre'Davious White to an season-ending ACL injury
It sucks to lose Tre'Davious White to an season-ending ACL injury. I hope Kaiir Elam can step up this year. Christian Benford has been good so far this season. It's hard-breaking Tre'Davious White to an season-ending ACL injury because he worked hard to get back from his ACL injury from 2021.
Perspective
The Bills showed the league in this game they are still one of the best teams in the AFC and kings of the AFC East. Josh Allen is back to an M.V.P form this season after Week 1. James Cook is giving the Bills the run game that they needed for 5 years. Their defensive line has 16 sacks in 4 games and that's without Von Miller. When they get Von Miller back their defensive line will get even scarier.
